About Me

Abigayle Cariño
If I were to close my eyes and imagine my perfect day, it would take place outdoors, surrounded by nature. I feel as though most of my inspiration comes from the world around me, whether that’s through different forms of art, or quiet moments spent outside. I love activities that make me feel present and calm, like reading, baking, hiking, and photography.
Music plays a big role in my life, whether that’s listening and reminicing on songs my mom would blast on warm summer days when I was growing up, or learning new sheet music to play on my violin. I enjoy the challenge that comes with musical performance, and I have learned so much about my capacity for creativity through being a violinist. Ultimately, I’m someone who values finding beauty in the present, everyday moments.
Currently, I work as a Graduate Research Assistant at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. I hope to use my skills in strategic communication, research, and civic engagement leadership to help brands amplify their voices and tell authentic stories that are rooted in environmental welfare. I am passionate about using communication to advance environmental justice and drive meaningful, lasting change.
